Kat Cochrane

Kat participated in the United Way Allocations Panel in 2017 and was inspired to get more involved with the organisation. Her long-standing experience of 14 years at 0SF Healthcare are testament to her dedication. Kat wanted to get involved with UWKC to find more outlets to get involved with community service.

 


Monica Jensen

Retired

Monica served on the Special Events Committee throughout the 2011 year and loved getting involved and wanted to do more. She believes it is a wonderful feeling to help bring an event to fruition and have it be successful because of the collective efforts of a group, and is proud to give back to a community that supports its residents every day.  She joined the board in 2012, as a Member at Large and is now President.

 

Carol Hagan
Vice President
Retired

Carol has lived all her life in Galesburg. She graduated from GHS & attended CSC. After 35 years in banking she recently retired from First Midwest Bank. She became a board member in 2015.  She was the 2016 Campaign Coordinator. Carol is currently on the CSC Foundation Board, a member of Galesburg Noon Lions & Elks Club. She attends the First Presbyterian Church & has chaired a number of committees for all of them.

 

 

Jennifer Poland
Treasurer
I H Mississippi Valley Credit Union 

Jennifer is the Branch Manager at the Galesburg I H Mississippi Valley Credit Union branch and has been very helpful throughout the transition at our future location. A local to Knox County, Jennifer graduated from Abingdon High School. She later received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Finance from Quincy University before returning to Knox County to begin her career with IHMVCU and to start a family. Throughout her 10 years at IHMVCU Jennifer has watched their employees be proud supporters of United Way. What made her want to join our board now was seeing the excitement of our executive board members when they got the opportunity to walk through the location on Monmouth Blvd. 

 

 

Hillary Kelly
Secretary
First Mid Bank & Trust

Hillary's commitement shows in her presence in the last 8 years within the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Knox County as a consistent volunteer and Big. She has also served on their Satellite Board and wanted to take her love for serving the community a step further and became involved with United Way. She has always supported UWKC financially but now she wanted to be more involved and thought that there was no better opportunity than serving on the Board of Directors.

 

 

Diana Allen

F&M Bank

Diana is Assistant Vice President Small Business Banker at F&M Bank. She has worked in banking in Knox County for several decades where she has had the pleasure of working with multiple of our current board members in the past.  When asked why she was interested in joining our board she said that she aspires to give back to the community that she works and raises her family in. Diane looks forward to helping with our work at United Way.

 

Kelsey Wherley

Regional Office of Education #33

Kelsey is an Education Pathway Coordinator at Regional Office of Education #33. She is originally from Northern Iowa, but relocated to Galesburg with her husband in 2018. Kelsey holds an Associate's degree in photography and business and has a small photography business on the side. She and her husband enjoy going out to Lake Story with their kayaks during the warmer months. They also love to attend concerts and sporting events (Go Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs!).
